José Alvarenga´s photos are taken with analog camera and B&W rolls of film. He is interested in everyday and surreal urban scenes, mainly Rio de Janeiro, where he lives.  Walking outdoors, as a keen observer he captures every single detail with a 50 mm lens Nikon. Does not use flash, works under natural lights.

 

In a unique way he shares with the public a visual experience of the city, in its poetry and surprises that might come even right around the corner.
